ICOM Functional operation instructions

1. Notice:
1.1 The ICOM function on CGDI is to replace the ICOM device with a CGDI device. Its usage is similar to that of an ICOM device, and it can completely replace the ICOM device to perform the required operations. It is recommended to install CGDI and BMW original software on the same computer. This feature is not currently supported on XP computers. Turn off this feature and reopen the connection whenever there is a problem with the connection
 
1.2 There are two ways to connect this functiare required to use the ICOM function. On a computer, connect the CGDI device to the car and the computer, open the ICOM function, and use the ICOM-like connection. the way. The second one: the original software and CGon. The first one: CGDI software and the original softwDI software required for the ICOM function are on different computers. To use this function, you need to close the CGDI computer firewall and connect the two computers to the same LAN or WiFi. The device is connected to the car. It is best to use the first connection
 
1.3 When there is a "registration failure" or a connection exception,, please exit the interface and reopen it. It is normal to have a stuck when exiting.

2. Function Using:
2.1.When turned on, it may pop up pop-up a window whether to run the prompt. You must click “Yes”, otherwise will fail to registration and cannot work properly.
2.2.When appears  “Registered Successful·······” on the interface,that indicates this function is ready, and can be connected to use.




3.Following is a connection example, the connection method is the same as ICOM.
3.1 EasyConnect connection. Follow the steps in the following figure, where the IP address bar has two connections. The first one, if CGDI and EasyConnect are installed on the same computer, IP input local return address 127.0.0.1. Second: If not installed in the same station On the computer, you need to enter the IP address of the computer where the CGDI software is installed according to the second point in the first chapter "Attention". For example, the IP address of the computer where the CGDI software is installed is 192.168.1.107.

3.2 ISTA connection interface




Wait a moment, the following interface will appear, If it is an E-series model, as shown below, only the connection method above the red frame will appear, double-click the connection. If the model is F-type, the following two connection modes will appear. It is recommended to connect the one with the frame number. If the connection method showing the frame number does not appear, please turn off the ICOM function, re-open the function, and then perform the previous operation.

If the ISTA software has not appeared message for a long time, and appears an error message, and the data is sent and received on the interface, it may be caused by network. You need to disable this function, and connect to a better network (such as connecting to a mobile phone hotspot), then open it to use.



3.3 E_sys software connection.Connect the steps as shown in the figure below.For the IP address in the second step, the IP address of the computer installed with CGDI software connected to the network needs to be input, and the port number is fixed at 6801.For example, in the second step as shown in the figure below, the IP address of the machine is 192.168.1.107, so change the IP address into TCP :// 192.168.1.107:6801.



The figure below shows the successful reading of vehicle information.


If error when connected, as below shown, please turn off the ICOM function and reopen the connection.
